(1) Start by pushing the cuticles back with a manicure stick or a cuticle pusher tool.

(2) Turn the spring on the cuticle nippers, then carefully use the nippers to remove the protruding ends.

(3) Use the nippers to trim away any hard skin, careful not to overcut the cuticle and into living tissue. Less is more when trimming cuticles.

(4) Clean blades after each use with an alcohol wipe to prevent bacteria.

Top Tip: Cuticles should never be removed too extensively or too often, as this can lead to cuticle overgrowth.

Before and between uses, disinfect the tool with isopropyl alcohol or peroxide.
