(1) Soften cuticles in warm water or trim them after a hot shower.

(2) Use a cuticle pusher or stick to push up the dead cuticle.

(3) Trim any excess skin and hangnails and be care to only trim the cuticle and not live skin.

Clean blades after each use with an alcohol wipe to remove any bacteria.
